One of London's most historic and largest parks - a whopping 86 hectares of green, open space all less than 5 minutes walk away. Tennis courts available to hire. Sit at the Pavillion cafe inside the park and sip your fabulous coffee whilst overlooking the lake with swans and ducks a-swimming (the food is great here) We also have The Britannia pub with gardens overlooking the park (v good food here too)
Victoria Park Village
A lovely enclave just a few moments from Victoria Park. Full of cafes, deli's, shops, restaurants and fabulous pubs which do very tasty food.
Vibrant, 'new-London', Bohemian area of Hackney Wick 10 minutes walk. Art galleries abound and great food to be had at the Hackney Pearl.
A street full of independent shops with a delicatessen, coffee shops, creperie... Also, Chatsworth Road Market runs every Sunday from 11am to 4pm.
The open-air Olympic sized pool is a 25mins walk away away on the north side of the park (this is where the US swimming team are training!). It's open seven days a week and doesn't close until the sun goes down. There are also tennis courts within the park.
25 min walk away, the very fashionable Broadway Market features a collection of cafe's, pubs, restaurants, a butcher, fish monger, florist, book shops, antique shops, fashion shops, delicatessen's and news-agents.
