A unique approach to private renting and letting in and around London. The site was created to connect homeowners who can offer London accomodation with visitors looking for a place to stay. We provide and manage the service free, with optional promotional features.

Having a fascination of all things Australian from his backpacking days in 2001 founder Matt Parker took inspiration from private rental success stories during the Sydney 2000 Olympics. In 2005 when London won the 2012 Olympic bid the media recognised and reported the problem which will arise in housing millions of visitors that will flood into London.

Matt set about creating www.londonrentmyhouse.com to put together London homeowners, who would like to offer private accommodation, with visitors looking to secure a convenient and comfortable alternative to expensive hotels rooms. The site opened to the public in December 2007 and through its success has inspired further similar ideas.

We are amazed and excited at the response to the site and the entrepreneurial spirit shown by homeowners as private rental are recognised. The site is now in full swing as we monitor the interaction and exchanges between visitors and homeowners and our huge range of adverts continue to grow.

We have added a social 'rental' flavour to encourage interaction between hosts and visitors. To create a meet the host or meet the visitor profile sign in to your account.

Due to the level of worldwide interest shown in the project it has been decided to extend the opportunity to New York, Brazilian homeowners as well as those living near a global major Sport Event, particularly with the World Cup and 2016 Olympic Games coming up. We will also be making a general global version, news of this and the domain name to follow soon.

We will also be creating a responsive mobile and IPAD version for each site.

Further down the line we are weighing up further expansion options and to build on the idea and continued success of Londonrentmyhouse.com.
